Polygon and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Polygon is contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are clearly becoming recognized as the international language of Sustainability and ESG performance. These goals are set up by UN to achieve a more sustainable future. Polygon contributes to several of the SDGs and targets.

“To act responsible is of utmost importance for us, this goes hand in hand with our brand promise Always By Your Side. We believe that catching environmental, social and governance related opportunities and manage the challenges is vital for our long-term success,” says Axel Gränitz, President & CEO of Polygon Group.

By using the SDG´s as our compass, we make sure that our priorities are aligned with the national and international agenda, and it enables us to communicate our sustainability and business strategy more effectively. Polygon´s Our responsibility program support all 17 goals, but we believe that we can make the greatest contribution in relation to SDG 8, 12, 13 and 17.

What is the UN SDG´s

The UN Sustainable development goals are the world’s common agenda for 2030, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. They provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. Through 17 bold commitments and 169 targets, these goals seek to drive global action across social, environmental and economic development issues. Each goal is interlinked, and they influence each other in complex ways.
