DARREN COTTERHILL WINS AWARD

Polygon UK employee recognised at International Management Conference.

Polygon, the global expert in property damage control and temporary climate solutions recently held its annual International Management Conference. The three-day event allowed the company to share knowledge gained from all 13 countries it operates in, whilst it also celebrated its employees.

The awards ceremony offered an insight into the inspiring stories of colleagues from around the world, who consistently go above and beyond expectations. Of the awards presented, a key part of the ceremony was acknowledging those colleagues who constantly demonstrate the company’s core values of integrity, excellence and empathy throughout their everyday working life.

Darren Cotterhill, Commercial & Complex Loss Supervisor from Polygon UK was nominated alongside eight other colleagues from the global team for the International Empathy award. Following a submission from his team, Darren was a successful finalist.

Polygon UK Commercial & Complex Loss Director, Richard Done, commented, “Our people are at the heart of our business, they have a passion for helping customers. Darren is a great example of this and a highly valuable member of our team. He demonstrates all three values in his everyday activity, however for me there was an extraordinary case where he went above and beyond to support a customer at a very distressing time. Following a domestic claim, a sentimental rocking horse had been destroyed from fire damage which caused great anguish to our customer, as their partner had also recently died during the claim. In his own time, Darren searched the internet to find and purchase a replica rocking horse; and then hand delivered it to the customer, who was overwhelmed by his thoughtfulness. It is actions like these that encompass the true Polygon spirit. On behalf of the team, I would like to congratulate Darren on his well-deserved award.”
