A key goal at Polygon is to connect with as many businesses as possible. That’s one reason that the SAA Annual Event in Austin is so meaningful to our team.

SAA's Annual Meeting creates an archaeological community for sharing ideas, best practices, and state of the art knowledge; professionals can meet and network in interest groups, panels, symposia, and committees.  Matt DeCirce, Business Development Specialist, says it’s a great place for archivists to gather and network each year. Also, he loves the openness of downtown Austin, with its great food and music and sights. Sean Socks, Business Development Specialist explained that at the most recent event, on the first day he caught a lot of leads, and day two was even better, when he was able to connect with a few big players. It allows us to form relationships with clients and customers that they wouldn’t normally have access to. This opportunity is crucial because it’s important to teach vendors about Polygon’s products and services. All this networking leads to growth for Polygon, which is a key goal in attending such events.
