Polygon UK, the global expert in property damage control and temporary climate solutions, has successfully implemented the new standard ISO 14001:2015, recognising its ability to manage its environmental responsibilities.
Consistently working to enhance its sustainability performance, Polygon has fulfilled the ISO
14001:2015 requirements for an environmental management system, to benefit both the business
and all interested parties.
With property damage management being Polygon’s core business, it aims to significantly reduce
the need for raw building material sourcing, excessive energy consumption and distribution.
Beyond property damage restoration, its services broaden to restore water-damaged machinery
and vehicles, non-destructive leak detection, and temporary climate solutions for which its
ExactAire® system is the most advanced method available to minimise power usage.
Polygon has fitted the Lightfoot continuous driver feedback system in all its company vehicles
aiming to reduce carbon emissions. The system works by giving live time feedback to the driver on
safe and fuel economic driving performance, this coupled with upgrading the fleet to Euro VI
engines has meant carbon emissions have been reduced by 2,995 tonnes since its inception (993
tonnes in 2018).
With compliance to the updated 2015 standard (ISO 14001:2015) Polygon reinforces its control
and focus on the environmental aspects of its activities, products and services, as well as its
dedication to work with equally sustainable partners in the supply chain.
Pat Neal, HR Director of Polygon UK says, “We are delighted to have implemented and met the high
requirements of the ISO 14001:2015. This achievement demonstrates not only our business’
dedication to our environmental responsibilities but that of all of our colleagues and our desire for
continuously improving as we strive to operate to the highest standard of sustainability.”
