Beware of Fraudulent Job Offers

Polygon Group has received reports about individuals receiving fraudulent job confirmations and requests for interviews and offers via emails, instant messages and texts.

The fraudulent offers typically include the name of an actual Polygon executive, and a role description. Potential applicants are offered jobs, usually in a work-at-home mode and are encouraged to download an app to organise an online interview. Communications and other materials often solicit personal information or money.

Please be advised that the said interviews/job offers are completely false and are not connected with the Polygon Group in any way.

Ways to identify potential fraud:

  • An employment opportunity or request is sent to you before you apply for a job at Polygon. Polygon does not send unsolicited requests, nor do we engage potential employees unless you have applied for a position.
  • The Polygon Group DO NOT select personnel through text messaging or e-mail communication alone
  • You are asked to download an app to receive an invite to the interview, inserting a code.
  • The email you receive comes from an address OTHER THAN [name]@polygongroup.com. For example: Emails from similar addresses such as polygongroup-us.com and polygon.online are fraudulent emails. Please review the full email address. Often scammers spoof emails, or make the visible name appear legitimate, to get recipients to open and respond to a solicitation.
  • The email you receive comes from a free email provider address such as @gmail, @yahoo, @outlook, @live, etc.
  • You are offered a payment prior to starting work.
  • You are asked to pay a fee upon receipt of an offer letter. Polygon would never ask a potential employee for payment.
  • You are offered an opportunity to attend a Polygon training session for a fee.  Polygon does not offer fee-based training.

For your protection, please do not:

  • Respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers of employment from people with whom you are unfamiliar.
  • Disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know.
  • Send any money in association with a job application
  • Engage in further communication with a suspicious sender.

If you have received or are aware of this type of communication and have concerns, please report it to us via info@polygongroup.com.

We take this matter very seriously and we hope that publishing this information could prevent these scams.
