Common Issues With Flat Roof Leaks

Many flat roofs run the risk of wear and tear over the years, which can significantly damage the roof's material, causing leaks into the building.

Accidental damage or poor maintenance, over time, can lead to damage to the structural integrity of the roof, allowing water to seep into the building material, causing major water damage.

How Does It work?

The equipment is integrated into a trolley-based system with a laptop for live data analytics from the sensors mounted on the base. Additionally, a handheld attachment allows for closer inspection of roof areas that the trolley cannot reach.

The precise location of leaks is possible with the Roof Scan without time-consuming preparations (e.g., removal of the gravel in the test area). To conduct the test, an earth cable is connected to any metal component on the underside of the roof. The flat roof is then moistened, and the trolley travels across its surface, generating a low-voltage current. As the trolley approaches the leak, the voltage to earth increases, indicating the affected area.

Benefits of The Equipment

The compact electronic module is easy to move onto rooftops, with data available in real time. Further analysis can be carried out anytime through the integrated software.

With advanced technology and highly skilled technicians, we can scan large areas quickly and in all weather, making testing efficient and cost‑effective.

Our reports provide clear evidence of findings, and we mark up areas where possible so repairs can be easily cross‑referenced with the scan data. The equipment works on all types of flat roofs, including cold, warm, green, trafficable and gravel.
