Polygon appoints Erik-Jan Jansen as new CEO

Polygon announces that Erik-Jan Jansen, age 49, has been appointed new CEO of the Polygon Group, taking over the post from Michael Berg who has decided to seek new challenges outside the company.

Erik-Jan joins Polygon from Securitas, where he holds the position of COO Europe and is responsible for sales of EUR 2.6 billion and a workforce of 60,000 employees. He has been a member of Group Management for the past 6 years and has held various senior management positions in Europe.

Previous to his role as COO, he was Divisional President Mobile and Monitoring Europe, with responsibility for covering operations in seventeen European countries. His career in Securitas began in 1996 as a regional manager in the Netherlands, where he was appointed Country President in 2003. Before joining Securitas he worked in the 5- star hotel industry for seven years, holding various positions in Singapore, London, Amsterdam and the Caribbean. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in hotel management from the Maastricht School of Hospitality Management.

Erik-Jan resides in the Netherlands and will commute between the head office in Stockholm and the Polygon countries. Michael Berg will continue as CEO until his handover to Erik-Jan on 14 April.
