The Library Administrators Conference of Northern Illionois, better known as LACONI, has successfully introduced new technologies, best practices, and programs to library staff since 1954. This Friday, the organization is holding a Tech Services event on Disaster Preparedness and Post-Disaster Clean-Up. The event will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on March 8th at Tinley Park Public Library in Tinley Park, Illinois.
Polygon Group will present alongside The Conversation Center on disaster preparedness and recovery of various types of materials in libraries. Our very own Matt DeCirce will take the podium for the presentation to start the event and join a Q&A session to conclude the day.
Polygon uses state-of-the-art vacuum freeze drying chambers that use negative pressure to create the most effective drying solution for certain materials and projects. This technology is ideal for libraries and other institutions that carry paper documents and have to deal with a disaster. Polygon even enables customers to have real time access to documents during reprocessing.
Visit the LACONI site for more information on the event. We look forward to seeing you there! If you won’t be able to make it, you can learn more about our document recovery solutions here.
