Polygon provided temporary cooling for the retrofit of #1 and #2 turbines on a 900 Megawatt BWR Plant. Heat build-up during these shutdowns can create schedule delays due to the acclimation period for workers (as required by heat stress safety procedures).
Polygon provided chillers and air handlers utilizing an elaborate labyrinth of duct to effectively cool the turbine floor, creating a safe and comfortable environment for plant personnel. In the end, the shutdown came in on schedule and under budget.
