At Polygon, people always come first

We have invested a lot in our people at Polygon over the last few years and it’s starting to pay off. Two of our biggest countries were both rewarded with several employer awards in 2019.

In the UK we maintained our Investors In People (IIP) Platinum standard and we also obtained Achilles accreditation for the sixth consecutive year. An exceptional 100% score was achieved across four key sectors; corporate social responsibility (CSR), health and safety, environmental and quality.

”Retaining our Achilles accreditation with increasing scores across all categories is an achievement we are very proud of. This demonstrates the culture within our business of continuous improvement and acknowledges how seriously all our colleagues take their responsibilities, demonstrating their commitment to Health & Safety, the Environment and Quality", says Pat Neal, HR Director at Polygon UK & Ireland.

2019 also saw Polygonvatro in Germany receive two awards for being one of the best employers in the country. In a nationwide survey, the German newspaper “Die Welt” analysed how highly German companies are rated by the population. More than 600,000 members of the public evaluated 1,300 companies based on attractiveness and Polygonvatro was announced as one of the 299 best companies.

“These awards reflect the results of our own employee surveys. The majority of our 2,000 employees in Germany see themselves as part of a large family, and that is what makes our company,” says Andreas Weber, Country President in Germany.

The second award was announced by the big German magazine “Stern” last week. In a nationwide survey, Polygonvatro was shown to be one of the 500 best companies to work for by 2,500 participating companies.

“I’m really proud to say that we got a good result in our category of business; 14th place and we were placed 431 out of 2,500 companies. This signifies that we are doing the right things and are a good employer. This also helps us with future recruitment, we are a great family and satisfied employees are our biggest unique selling point and the best argument when it comes to successfully recruit skilled staff”, says Cornelia Czenkusch, HR Manager at Polygonvatro in Germany.

The survey was based on 45,000 participants where they had to evaluate their current employer and other companies in their branch with at least 500 employees.
