Polygon restores famous French clothing store back to former glory

Polygon has helped a well-known clothing brand make a rapid return to business after one of its premises was devastated by fire.

The store, located in the historical centre of Dijon, was damaged by a blaze that is understood to have started in an electrical cabinet. Thanks to Polygon’s quick response and excellent decontamination service, the site was ready for refurbishment just two weeks after the incident took place.

Polygon was assigned the job by a loss adjuster, following a request for an evaluation of the damage and an estimate for the work. Working quickly, Polygon visited the scene of the fire and submitted a quote within 24 hours.

Polygon was responsible for managing the full scope of the project, including communication with City Hall authorities to authorise the waste container and ensure the safety of all involved. Restoration was complete in two weeks, and upon returning to the store, the customer was pleasantly surprised to see it back in its pre-incident condition, enabling them to immediately proceed with designs for a new store.

Frederic Merle, Sales Manager of Polygon France, said: “The store owner was extremely pleased with the quality provided by the Polygon team and the high standard of our technical services. They were confident in our capabilities to manage the safety while also being able to efficiently work in the centre of Dijon with a lot of people surrounding us.”
