JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Specialist to strengthen our market presence in the assigned territory. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the BDS will drive profitable outside sales growth to meet annual revenue targets. The ideal candidate is client-focused, consultative, and skilled at delivering innovative solutions that address customer needs in moisture management, environmental control, and digital monitoring.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expand market share in the assigned territory by promoting our expertise in moisture control, temporary climate solutions, and advanced remote monitoring/digital services (real-time visibility into temperature, relative humidity, moisture content, water risk, indoor air quality, and more).
  • Conduct sales calls, deliver presentations, and engage key stakeholders—including general contractors, project managers, architects, engineers, building owners, and facility managers—to identify opportunities and propose tailored moisture mitigation and monitoring strategies.
  • Develop job scopes, estimates, and proposals for projects involving moisture management, drying services, and digital/remote monitoring deployments.
  • Achieve targeted sales and gross margin goals in assigned markets and regions.
  • Participate in local trade shows, industry associations, and regional/national events to build awareness of our moisture expertise and growing digital capabilities.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while proactively prospecting to expand the customer base.
  • Establish a strong territory presence for our comprehensive offerings, with emphasis on innovative digital solutions that provide proactive risk mitigation and data-driven insights.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with knowledge of industry standards and applicable codes in construction/restoration.
  • Proven track record with at least three (3) years of sales experience in construction, industrial services, restoration, or related industries.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to client success.
  • Occasional overnight and international travel may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM programs.

BENEFICIAL ASSETS (Pluses):

  • Knowledge of moisture dynamics, psychrometric principles, or environmental control applications.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring technologies, IoT sensors, or digital dashboards (e.g., real-time data for moisture, temperature, RH, or water risk)—not required, but a strong advantage.
  • Experience in equipment rental (dehumidification/heating/cooling), construction services, industrial coatings, or restoration industries.
