Every year, the Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) comes together for an annual meeting that features a variety of breakout sessions designed for archivists. The 2019 Annual Meeting will be held from April 3-6 in Detroit, Michigan. This year’s theme, “Innovations, Transformation, Resurgence,” will consider how archivists can transform their local communities.

The Library Administrators Conference of Northern Illionois, better known as LACONI, has successfully introduced new technologies, best practices, and programs to library staff since 1954. This Friday, the organization is holding a Tech Services event on Disaster Preparedness and Post-Disaster Clean-Up. The event will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on March 8th at Tinley Park Public Library in Tinley Park, Illinois.

As such, each year the SSPC hosts a conference that includes training programs that cover a gamut of topics, including surface preparation, coatings and application, project management, research, testing and technology that can help improve vital infrastructure and the coatings industry as a whole.
