An idyllic log cabin with several small surrounding buildings is beautifully situated on a mountain top in Jämtland, Sweden, close to the Norwegian border. Polygon is called there to clean the buildings, both internally and externally, in order to get rid of a mould infestation. Considering how the cabin is situated in a hard-to-reach location, with uncertain weather conditions and uncertain access to materials and tools, it is evident that this could be a challenge. When you’re responsible for processing around 17,000 tons of brussels sprouts every year, it’s essential that each individual vegetable is kept in peak condition as it makes its way from the field to the supply chain and, ultimately, onto a dinner table. When heavy seasonal rainfall caused processing problems for one major vegetable grower, Polygon UK stepped in to help find a solution.

Children and staff members of a day-care centre just outside of Stockholm, Sweden, complained about a lingering odour in their facility. An inspection was ordered. The inspection determined that the foundation of their building was in poor condition, creating the odour. Polygon Sweden was hired to fix the problem by cleaning, demolishing, measuring moisture levels and installing dehumidifiers in the 1200 square meter crawl space beneath the floor of the day-care.
