Insurance Professionals Visit New Newbury Depot

Polygon was privileged to host a fantastic group of insurance professionals at our newly opened Newbury Depot. The highly successful event was focused on demonstrating the breadth and seamless integration of our services, the comprehensive One Polygon approach to property damage solutions.

The success of the day was driven by presentations and demonstrations from several of our leading experts, highlighting the diverse capabilities of the One Polygon solution:

Kathryn Rodgers - Managing Director, Harwell Restoration

Kathryn showcased our specialist restoration services, explaining that when critical physical documents or electronic devices are damaged by fire or water, immediate, non-destructive action is essential to halt deterioration.

She highlighted how Polygon ensures business continuity, supports legal compliance, and maintains environmental responsibility. Kathryn also led attendees on a tour of the new depot, demonstrating the logistical flow of the One Polygon approach.

Steven Atkinson - Technical Development Lead

Steven led a session detailing the different techniques used for dealing with fire and water damage, covering everything from equipment used on large-scale damage to methods for basic domestic properties. He provided live demonstrations of this equipment and gave an overview of the rigorous training our technicians undergo.

John Naylor - Leak Detection Technician

John presented an insightful talk on our advanced leak detection capabilities. He demonstrated the exact, non-destructive equipment used and emphasised the level of expertise needed to find hidden leaks. Attendees were allowed to try some of this precision equipment themselves.

James Bloom TMIET - Regional Development Director - Climate & Digital Solutions

James delivered an engaging demonstration of our Digital Solutions. He explained how utilising real-time data provides a significant competitive edge for UK businesses focused on asset protection and achieving ESG objectives. Specifically, he showcased ExactAire®, which integrates connected devices throughout a building to monitor conditions using long-range, low-power IoT communications, empowering stakeholders to take proactive measures.

Steve Lloyd - Head Of Insurance Services – Smart Repair

Dan Boyes - ASF - Smart Repair

The day concluded with a session on Smart Repair. Steve provided a presentation on the types of repairable damage and the benefits of Smart Repair in reducing claim costs.

Dan wrapped up the presentations with a live repair demonstration, getting visitors involved in a fun competition to perform the best repair!
