Your privacy is important to us, and we always handle data about you reliably and legally. This privacy policy gives a detailed description of how we treat your data and what rights you have as an individual.
Polygon processes your data in the following categories:
1. When you are a customer
2. When you are a supplier
3. When you are applying for a job
4. When you participate in marketing activities
Polygon collects and handles personal data about you for different purposes depending on the category of person you belong to.
If you have experienced damage to your home, Polygon is appointed to inspect and rectify the damage and report it back to your insurance company. In order for Polygon to rectify the damage, we need to process information about you that we may obtain from your insurance company or directly from you. The personal data we collect is your name, address, telephone number and any photos we take during our visit to you.
If you are one of Polygon’s suppliers, we will register the contact information for you held by the company you work for. (name, phone number and e-mail address) This allows us to fulfil the commitments we have agreed for the procurement of services and products.
If you are applying for a job, we register you as a candidate. This means that we save your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, CV, references, any personal data from your letters and in some cases, test results. This allows us to complete the recruitment process.
Polygon handles your contact information (name, phone number, e-mail address) for different types of marketing activities, such as events and customer surveys. If we have contacted you regarding participation, you can opt out at any time by following the link in our e-mail or by contacting us at info@polygongroup.com.
Polygon collects your data primarily through various contact opportunities with you, or through the insurance company where you are a customer.
The personal data collected will primarily be handled internally within Polygon. Your data may be used or made accessible to any third-party company or organisation that assists Polygon in fulfilling its obligations or its delivery towards you. Examples of such parties are Polygon’s third-party suppliers for IT and finance, and companies with which Polygon collaborates in order to fulfil its commitments. Polygon is responsible for how the data is processed, even if this is done by a third party. If there is a governmental decision or an obligation under law, Polygon is required to disclose the data stipulated in the decision or under law.
When the purpose for which the personal data was collected is fulfilled, the data will be discarded. This means that your data will only be stored for as long as necessary to allow us to manage the purposes listed above, or for as long as we need to store them under law, e.g. in accordance with the Swedish Accounting Act.
We do not delete your data when there is a legal requirement to store it or a legal basis to keep it, for example, if you have an insurance policy or a pending claim with us.
You have the right to privacy and thus to your data. You also have the right to request information about the personal data Polygon processes about you. In such cases, you should request this in writing from info@polygongroup.com. If you believe that any data about you is incorrect or misleading, or you wish to have it deleted, please contact us with your request.
Polygon works continuously to protect your privacy and the data we have about you. This means that we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security aimed at guarding against and preventing the loss or spread of data to unauthorised persons. Access to your information is only granted to those who need it for their duties. Processing of data is systematically logged and controlled. Data encryption occurs as necessary, and we are continuously working to prevent IT security incidents in our information systems.
