Polygon UK is excited to share that we’ve begun trialing an all-electric van for our technicians as part of our journey toward a fully electric fleet. This trial allows us to assess the van’s performance across all areas of our business, identify key strengths, and address any challenges to ensure a smooth transition.

Since September 2023, four of our drivers have had the opportunity to use the van in their daily operations, each for approximately three months. Now, our fifth driver is beginning his trial, continuing the valuable hands-on experience with this innovative vehicle. Feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with technicians appreciating the van’s smooth and efficient driving experience.

Naturally, we’ve encountered some hurdles along the way. Cold weather, hilly terrain, and heavy loads have impacted the van’s range, affecting charging frequency and overall mileage. However, we remain committed to finding the best solutions that will enable our technicians to reach clients safely and efficiently while advancing our sustainability efforts.
 
This trial is an essential step in our mission to reduce our environmental footprint and embrace cleaner, more efficient transportation solutions. We’re eager to learn, adapt, and ultimately move toward a fully electric fleet that benefits both our team and the planet.
