Trauma Claim at Major UK Hotel

Polygon was appointed by the manager of a leading hotel chain to carry out an urgent biohazard clean-up following a serious incident in the guest room at one of its locations. A hotel guest suffered a severe injury, leading to substantial blood loss that contaminated both the bedroom and bathroom areas. The contamination affected not only the building fabric but also some of the room’s furnishings, rendering the space unfit for use. Until the decontamination was completed, the hotel was unable to sell the room, resulting in potential revenue loss.

Restoring Historic Church Artifacts After Fire

During the significant fire damage at All Saints Church, one of the irreplaceable specialist content items affected was a 5-foot-tall lectern, which held great importance to the Church and its congregation. While restoration works on the building structure were being carried out by Polygon’s Major and Complex Loss Teams, the lectern and several other contents were also addressed. These included brass candlesticks, a display case containing a commemoration book and diary, a prayer book altar rest, and a brass cross on a stand.

On August 2nd, a fire erupted in a forklift inside a fish processing facility in the northern Norwegian town of Senjahopen, triggering a large-scale emergency. Polygon Norway was swiftly assigned to handle the cleaning and restoration, with technicians on-site the following Monday to begin soot removal.
